Hui a Hapū - Charter Development

The Poukura Pā Reservation Trust are calling a Hui a Hapū for the purpose of developing a Trust Charter. There are many opportunities to have your say. Either in person or on Zoom at our hui at Poukura Marae on 18 December 2022 and 7 January 2023; or, by making a submission to the Trust Secretary.

About the event
A Charter is a Hapū document which sets the rules and expectations of the Marae Reservation. It describes who we are as ngā uri (beneficiaries) o Parekaawa ki Poukura, what we want the marae to be used for, expectations of ngā uri, Trustees, and manuhiri; and, rules governing the marae (Trust).
The Trust will host two hui a hapū to engage with the hapu to understand their intentions and direction, and collate that information into a draft Charter. Each hui will be identical, in that each are designed to gather information, so it is only necessary to attend one or the other, however, all are welcome to both.
